NoLab Lab
Led by Dr. Sladjana Lukic, Assistant Professor in the Florida State University
The Problem
Aphasia affects roughly 2 million people in the U.S., and this number is projected to nearly double by 2050, increasing clinical demands and the risk of errors in diagnosis and treatment monitoring.
Our Goal
Understand how the brain supports language and make aphasia assessment and monitoring more accurate, scalable, and meaningful in everyday life.
How
We combine everyday speech, brain imaging, and AI-based speech-language analysis to understand the neurobiology of language and to develop objective measures of aphasia over time.
